Closet Urge: No.1, No.2, No.3

I have been in the state of embracing my “closetness,” because that’s the only way I can perhaps move on with my life. I met one person that I related with totally (you know who you are) and in turn I met other fellas that were going through the same damn thing I was dealing with… Being in the closet (some still questioning their sexuality) and still finding ways to come out to their loved ones.

In that long and tedious process we go through some unexplainable urges: feelings of infatuation, sometimes love, for that lovely person of the same sex. In this case, men! The “Oooo he is fine,” “Ohh My God, He’s Hott!”, “Whoa… ummm.” We all have our sayings to describe that melting feeling when a guy swoops by and rocks our socks off and make us go head over heels. Some times he is gay… Most of the times he is unfortunately strictly for cooch.

They are closet urges because (a) Just like our sexuality, we have to keep those naughty fantasies hidden (what a torture) and (b) if we are not careful, we pretty much gave our secret intentions away. Almost no need to come out to mommy now.

So the closet urges that I have and I am sure other closeted dudes have are as follows.

Numero 1: The Work Crush, I have discussed about this before and it pretty much falls in this list without saying. Male co-workers are hott and there is nothing you can do about it. Unless you quit when you get the heartbreaking news that he don’t like guys and you.

Numero 2: Shopping for Underwear, I was reminded today how much I enjoyed going to the undies section of the department store and just gaze at the faceless bodies of underwear models. What’s worse is that I find them overwhelmingly stunning. Hottness!

Numero 3: The Cashier, This is less subtle because not all cashiers are dudes and within the male category not all of them are good looking or caring. But on occasion, I do get that surprise and I tend to find the live with an eye-popping male cashier over shorter lines. I say, the longer the line, the more time I have admiring the guy with casual glances.

There you have it. The first three Closet Urges that closeted guys like me have to deal with. Come to think of it, I had to overcome two of these urges today… Shopping for underwear and a very cute dude cashier with low-riding shorts. He was wearing those black boxers with dignity and style. I hope no one noticed me looking.
